An experienced Building Construction Inspector is needed for a NYS Thruway Building Project. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting an Addition & Roof Replacement construction project to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections at various stages of the project

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes

• Review blueprints, plans, and permit applications

• Document inspection findings and prepare reports

• Work with contractors, engineers, and property owners to resolve code compliance issues

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, inspections, or code enforcement

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans

• Knowledge of building codes (IBC, IRC preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• ICC certification or relevant inspector certification preferred
