Intern Program Dates: June 3, 2019 through August 9, 2019 Location: Valhalla, NY office Length of Program: 10-weeks (40 hour work week) Paid internship program Timeline Applications: November 25, 2018 January 15, 2019 Interviews: November 2018 - April 2019, on a rolling basis Based on your background and interests, you will be matched to, interview with, and work on a team for 10 weeks during the summer. Program Requirements: Must be currently pursuing an MBA Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be flexible in meeting assignments. Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred Must have strong oral and written communication skills Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work Must provide proper work authorization As a condition of employment, must successfully complete a background check Summer Internship Details/Description: Department: Marketing & BD - Corporate Development Preferred Academic Discipline(s): MBA The purpose of this Summer Internship is to provide college students with work experience in their chosen academic field. Responsibilities Essential Duties: This is your opportunity to join our Corporate Development team as a Summer Intern. Our Corporate Development team focuses on Growth Initiatives, Corporate Strategy and identifying and evaluating acquisition and investment opportunities. Working closely with one of the Corporate Development leaders, you will analyze an opportunity, perform research and analysis and provide needed insight to the management team to drive sound decision making. Qualifications Preference for students currently pursuing and MBA Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater Majoring in one of the following disciplines, energy management, marketing or a business-related discipline, such as accounting, business, risk, economics, statistics or finance. Knowledge of/ experience in energy issues or technology Knowledge of/ experience in economics or finance Experience with self-directed work on project assignments Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be flexible in meeting assignments. Excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and a high energy level are required. Previous financial analysis and modeling experience, particularly adept with income statement, statement of cashflow and balance sheet. Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred Must have strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency with a variety of software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also required. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with a high level of integrity, initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity.
