Primary Responsibilities HDR currently has an opening for a summer intern in our Water Business Group team in Lexington. The intern will be a part-time position (16-20 hours a week typically) and will assist Project Managers and Project Engineers on tasks related to planning, design and construction phases for wastewater treatment plants, sanitary collection sewers, pump stations and force mains, CSO storage basins as well as stormwater and green infrastructure projects. The individual will need to have an understanding of the Microsoft office suit of software as well as some experience in AutoCad. The successful candidate will be expected to assist production staff and engineers in their daily work in a variety of tasks and a can-do attitude is a must. Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in a Civil/Environmental Engineering or water related program Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and thrive working in a team environment. A highly positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
