Required Certifications: None Preferred Certifications: EIT Relocation Assistance: Not Available Description The Seattle, WA office of KPFFs Special Projects Division is seeking qualified Mechanical Engineer Interns that are ready to launch their educational experience into the professional world. The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to be directly involved in a wide variety of challenging projects including cranes and lifting devices, bulk material handling, ferry and vessel interface systems, industrial process systems, lock and dam gates, and high profile large movable structures. We are looking for self-motivated people who are eager to develop their design and project management skills and who are passionate about providing exceptional client service. Mechanical Engineers within KPFFs Special Projects Division enjoy the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects in an interdisciplinary environment with a group of talented and passionate engineering professionals. We use a holistic approach to project management that requires you as the Mechanical Engineer to not just provide mechanical engineering services, but to SOLVE your clients PROBLEM. This approach puts you in the role of project manager and allows you to see the big picture on every project. This is a rewarding and enjoyable place to be, giving you direct access to the client and owner. Minimum Qualifications and requirements Currently enrolled in a BSME program Completed 90 credits or more by the start of the 2016 summer internship Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals Effective written and verbal communication Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong technical and organizational abilities Preferred Requirements & Skills Graduating senior or enrolled in a MSME program EIT Previous engineering intern or graduate level work experience Knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and VBA Willingness to work on a variety of project types If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume and a letter of interest by clicking the apply now link below.
