The successful candidate will be exposed to all phases of project development including highway design, drainage design, erosion and sediment control, traffic control and a variety of other transportation related tasks. The candidate will also be involved in the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineers estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services. The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software. The candidate will also be involved in the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineers estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services. The primary duties of this position are to serve in a technical leadership role for the engineering development of urban and rural highway/bridge projects. The team player we seek must have a BS or MS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, a PA PE license, and 10+ years of experience working on PennDOT, PA Turnpike Commission, or similar projects. Candidate must have proficiency in supervising, managing staff and an understanding of all aspects of highway design. Applicants must demonstrate the following: * BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. * PA PE License; 10-years min. of progressive highway design experience. * Familiarity and experience with PennDOT standards/publications and procedures. * Experience in Stormwater Management and/or Traffic Engineering is a plus. * Experience and knowledge in PennDOT web-based applications is a plus. (ECMS, ASTA, KEES, etc.). * Proficiency in Bentley Power InRoads and Microsoft Office Suite products.. * Excellent interpersonal skills, team work, and communication skills, both written and verbal (English). * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER McTish, Kunkel & Associates is a growing consulting engineering firm with immediate openings at their headquarters in Eastern Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will coordinate project development activities for multiple clients with an emphasis on private land development. The candidate should be a self-starter with strong sales skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Connections to local and regional business networks are preferred. Typical project assignments may include commercial land development, residential subdivision, municipal consulting, public improvement projects, infrastructure, and stormwater management. The selected candidate will oversee a team of engineers, designers, and technicians. Salary will be commensurate with experience, professional registration and classification. Qualifications include: * BS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. * Licensure or ability to quickly receive licensure as a Professional Engineer, Registered Landscape Architect or Professional Land Surveyor. * 5-10 years experience in the planning, design and permitting of a wide range of project types. * Excellent communication, technical writing and supervisory skills. * Ability to multi-task manage multiple clients, projects, proposal opportunities and staff. * Ability to recognize business opportunities and assemble strategies to win new work.
