ABOUT THE ROLE: As one of our team members, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you begin your career. You’ll be part of the technology team, working for our clients on PROJECTS with our most experienced engineers. “Olsson Associates’ technology experts provide clients with telecom services ranging from long haul OSP design, inside plant design, Fiber to the home (FTTH) design, Intelligent Transportation (ITS) Design, and GIS ASSET MANAGEMENT / FIBER MAPPING SERVICES.  As a GIS/Technology Intern for the Technology team, you will be designing network architectures, utilizing GIS based design platforms, and converting data into a fiber mapping system, utilizing ArcGIS software.

Qualifications

YOU ARE INTERESTED IN:

• GIS MAPPING AND COMPUTERS
• Cartography and Visualization
• TELECOMMUNICATIONS and FIBER OPTICS
• Asset Management

YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Excellent written and verbal COMMUNICATION skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook)
• Proficiency in ARCMAP
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong PROBLEM-SOLVING skills
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Highly organized and detail oriented
