    Description The Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist reports directly to their respective Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Team Lead and is responsible for the various tasks in support of the overall objectives at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the particular shift they are assigned to. The EOC Technician is responsible for performing their respective assigned shift's duties and responsibilities including physical environment, network traffic and application monitoring, system performance, coordinate Data Center shipments and Technician entry, Regional office support, troubleshooting hardware and software problems and creation and maintenance of various EOC documentation. This position will be reporting for the night shift (Thursday through Saturday 7pm to 7am, and every other Wednesday for eight hours). Primary Duties Able to perform Physical environmental checks and Monitoring tasks of SEC ISS infrastructure. Ability to navigate and utilize the Spectrum, AppManager NETIQ, Solarwinds, ACD, NLyte, RFID, DVR, Infrastructure Central, Netbotz, Executive Dashboards and Sharepoint web portals. Open the technical communications bridge, facilitate and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled regional office events Responsible for managing relationships with NOC customers. Serve as an escalation point for the Service Desk staff regarding server and infrastructure equipment issues Generate Service Now tickets in response to user calls and dispatch to the appropriate on-site or on-call technicians. Coordinate, schedule and perform scheduled and unscheduled power down, power up of the Regional office infrastructure and services. Keep the appropriate management staff appraised of critical situations which requires attention. Provide Data Center coverage on a 24x7 shift basis. (Shift and weekend work) When required, place service calls to the Communications vendors for circuit related issues. Secondary Duties Provide shift activity coordination during absence of Team Lead. Respond to open ITSM tickets assigned to the NOC. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Requirements Four years or more progressive experience in the Information Technology field. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance which requires passing a government security background check and U.S. Citizenship. Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office tools. Requires a Computer Science Associates degree or equivalent experience. Aptitude for learning new network technologies and possess excellent customer service skills Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service framework beneficial. Must be a self starter, self motivating and be able to work in a team environment.
