Engineering Specialist (4586-872) Tracking Code 4586-872 Job Description STV, Inc. currently has an opening in our New York, NY office for a Civil Engineer Specialist in our Transportation & Infrastructure division. The team player we seek must have a BS/MS degree in Transportation Engineering and 0-3 years of experience with NYC/NYSDOT, NYCDDC, NYCEDC or similar public agency and municipal projects. The candidate will be responsible for supporting interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production, assisting sub-consultants, monitoring budgets, schedules and quality. In-depth background in the design of highways and streets, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an EIT is required. Additional experience in Site/Civil projects, including preparation of Builders Pavement Plans, parking lot design, and site grading and drainage, for private sector projects, is a plus. The ability to interact well with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams is essential. Required Skills & Required Experience: BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering. EIT Certification is required. 0-3 years of experience in transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field. Ability to support management and provide technical expertise in the following areas: roadway/highway design, Vertical and horizontal alignments, Traffic engineering, Pavement section design, Drainage system design. Local NYC Experience is highly preferred. Successful completion of the Fundamentals exam (EIT). Excellent interpersonal skills.
