    Engineering Specialist (4586-872) Tracking Code 4586-872 Job Description STV, Inc. currently has an opening in our New York, NY office for a Civil Engineer Specialist in our Transportation & Infrastructure division. The team player we seek must have a BS/MS degree in Transportation Engineering and 0-3 years of experience with NYC/NYSDOT, NYCDDC, NYCEDC or similar public agency and municipal projects. The candidate will be responsible for supporting interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production, assisting sub-consultants, monitoring budgets, schedules and quality. In-depth background in the design of highways and streets, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an EIT is required. Additional experience in Site/Civil projects, including preparation of Builders Pavement Plans, parking lot design, and site grading and drainage, for private sector projects, is a plus. The ability to interact well with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams is essential. Required Skills & Required Experience: BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering. EIT Certification is required. 0-3 years of experience in transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field. Ability to support management and provide technical expertise in the following areas: roadway/highway design, Vertical and horizontal alignments, Traffic engineering, Pavement section design, Drainage system design. Local NYC Experience is highly preferred. Successful completion of the Fundamentals exam (EIT). Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
