Communications Intern Department: Corp-Communications Location: Raleigh, NC VHBs Corporate Communications team is looking for an Intern to join us! VHBs passionate professionals include engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with public and private clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments. Together, we work to improve mobility, enhance communities and economic vitality, and balance development and infrastructure needs with environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Assist the Corporate Communications team on internal and external promotional materials. Help with content development and organization for VHBs internal and external websites. Work directly with technical practitioners and practice builders in transportation, site/civil engineering and environmental services to prepare communications materials, including internal and external articles Assist with message development, visuals and other communication devices. Be a source of ideas for themes, wording, and visuals. Assist with office visibility initiatives such as email blasts, social media, staff articles, and conference presentations Skills and Abilities Excellent organizational skills, flexible attitude, and ability to manage multiple projects at one time Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Team oriented with strong capability to work independently Experience with Adobe InDesign and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Qualifications 0-1 year of experience Pursuing undergraduate degree in English, Marketing, or comparable field At VHB, were invested in what we do, compelled by intellectual curiosity, and driven to work collectively to best serve our clients and help shape the future of our communities in a meaningful way.
