    WHAT THE POSITION ENTAILS:

    Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented, and experienced Developmental Test Engineer for the FAA. The successful candidate will provide 2nd level engineering support for the Aeronautical Information Modernization Management (AIMM) systems. The successful candidate will provide expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, and maintenance of Aeronautical Information including Special Activity Airspace (SAA), the Federal NOTAM System (FNS), and airport configuration data Integration. They will support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for the AIMM systems, work with software programming languages such as Java, XML and SQL and provide Testing expertise on Developmental Testing, Operational Testing, Operational Evaluation, Site Acceptance Testing, and Key Site Acceptance Testing. May also need to work with specialists from other disciplines such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems. The position is located at the FAA William J Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

     

     WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO:  

    ·       Support system development/integration/deployment activities for FNS.

    ·       Serves as a member of the project team that is deeply involved in the testing and verification processes life cycle of the FNS.

    ·       Work collaboratively with a team or as an individual on each assigned AIMM FNS project to meet deadlines and deliverables.

    ·       Capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving.

    ·       Maintaining and prioritizing high levels of quality while multitasking.

    ·       Review and comment on system engineering documents; will attend system design reviews and meetings as requested to support program and team.

    ·       Participate in all phases of software testing (DT, OT, OE, SAT, KSAT).

    ·       Write documents which clearly explain the test approach (plans, procedures, requirements mapping, and reports).

    ·       Develop Test Plans that clearly explain the function(s) of a system which is being tested.

    ·       Develop test procedures that are the as-run steps used in formal events.

    ·       Develop reports that explain the results of the test events including, summary of pass/fail, description of problem reports, final disposition of (priority & status) of problem reports, and a recommendation to deploy.

    ·       Create testing and performance summary reports.

    ·       Testing systems from existing system and functional specifications.

    ·       Analyze test data, using configuration management tools, and testing applications. Experience in developing test documentation from test procedures to test plans (DT, OT, OE, SAT, KSAT).

     

    MUST HAVES:

    ·       Working knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating Systems.

    ·       Troubleshooting skills, critical thinking, and the ability to interact with users of all levels of expertise; perform effectively in a team environment or alone and unsupervised; and protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

    ·       Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques, client/server development, cross-browser development, and Unix/Linux skills may be required.

    ·       Experience in mapping and allocating test cases to system requirements.

    ·       Experience with requirements traceability matrixes and test data generation.

    ·       Ability to develop and execute a Test Plan, document results, and generate test reports.

     

    NOT REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVE:

     ·       Familiar with Web Server and Web page testing.

    ·       Familiar with Relational Databases testing (Oracle, Postgres).

    ·       Understanding of Technical Operations orders and policies.

    ·       Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks.
