The individual needs to be well versed in customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Communicate professionally and effectively with staff, and customers. Manually loads and unloads furniture to and from designated inventory areas. Manually loads and unloads furniture for delivery and pick-up, on and off base. Reads orders or receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment. Cleans furniture for staging and stages finished furniture for loading. Simple furniture repairs. Operates forklift Occasionally performs routine custodial duties. Participate in required skills and knowledge training. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has not supervisory responsibilities. Job Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.Specifically, the ability effectively to communicate with employees, customers, and clients. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to do business ethically with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Ability to exercise resourcefulness in assisting customers. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands, change approaches or methods to best fit the situation, renegotiate deadlines, and have the capability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected priorities. Ability to generate suggestions for improving work flow; present ideas, and information, as well as have the ability to ask for help when needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, employee handbooks, safety rules, Companys Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ability to be customer focused. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Enrollment in a Bachelors Degree program in a related field. Strong analytical skills and ability to apply logic with good follow-through. Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test. Must be able to obtain a base pass for the military bases. Physical Effort: Frequent standing, talking, lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs., hand/eye coordination, and fine manipulation. Visual Acuity: Frequent close/peripheral vision, and depth perception. Mental Effort: Frequent analytical thinking, verbal/written communication, handling stress and emotions, concentrating on tasks, remembering details, and making decisions. Environmental Factors: Frequently working alone.
