    Work Arrangement:

    • Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

    The Digital Transformation Team

    The Digital Transformation Team within Global Business Solutions is passionate about enabling digital solutions that empower our business partners to derive immediate value from innovative tools and technology.  Our objective is to connect the business to underlying data assets & tools for analytics, predictive modeling, and automation to generate business value and efficiency.  We develop customer centric solutions for our strategic partners based on need, complexity, and process maturity. We also upskill our workforce to leverage the latest digital tools to drive efficiencies in their daily activities.  Further, we collaborate with our global service centers to scale our impact.

    As a Member of the Team

    • Lead the delivery of data solutions through automation, advanced analytics, and reporting to strategic business partners
    • Leverage technical expertise to develop proof of concepts; identify capabilities and limitations of technology
    • Build processes to prepare, extract, clean, and annotate a rich data variety of structured and unstructured data
    • Support critical business operations and decision-making through creation of high-quality automated reports and visualization, or predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms.

    Additional Description

    Basic Qualifications

    • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields
    • Must be graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
    • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months

    • Ability to synthesize data and information from various sources and distill out actionable insights, recommendations, and implications
    • Problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and can use the right combination of data sources, tools, and frameworks for varying business problems
    • Excellent storyteller with a demonstrated ability to deliver findings and recommendations in a compelling and engaging way
    • A critical thinker with an inquisitive nature and a hunger for knowledge and insights gained through data
    • Experience with common data science technologies/languages, namely SQL, KNIME, Python, or R, as well as familiarity with conventional code and programming concepts
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Plotly)

    Student Stipend:

    GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2024 Student Program

    Pay Transparency:

    The salary range for this role is $4,400-$4,900 per month, dependent upon class status and degree.
