  • Responsibilities

    The Corporate Communications Intern assists the Corporate Communications team with the following overall responsibilities:

    • Managing, researching and responding to print, online and broadcast media queries on a timely basis and as a matter of record.
    • Maintaining current knowledge of public-policy matters and current events impacting Enterprise Holdings, as well as the car rental, travel and automotive industries.
    • Developing integrated content strategies for online communications, including corporate websites and social-media messaging that address business, public policy and other industry issues.
    • Fostering relationships with editors, reporters and bloggers to facilitate long-term, accurate and fair media coverage of Enterprise Holdings and its business lines.
    • Speechwriting, editing press releases, developing position statements, and providing direction to agencies for proactive outreach to strategic media outlets.
    • Developing executive presentations, case studies, articles, white papers, videos and collateral material.
    • Writing clear, concise copy and identifying media opportunities and/or problems that require collecting and analyzing data, establishing facts and articulating persuasive conclusions.
    • Increasing awareness of Enterprise Holdings initiatives and programs by proactively developing forward-thinking plans with the greatest amount of added value, and maintaining corporate-identity standards for all communications efforts.
    • Managing and coordinating extensive professional public-relations agency, as extension of corporate communications team, for a wide variety of projects and programs, including confidential announcements and proprietary initiatives.
