This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment.

Summary:

The Electrical Engineering interns in Aptiv’s Connection Systems (CS) segment will get a mixture of hands on projects, lab experience and computer work. Connection Systems interns are provided valuable assignments and work alongside experienced engineers to gain a real world experience in Electrical Engineering. All specific assignment details will be identified and shared with the intern prior to their start date and will be aligned with their field of study. We strive to provide the best internship experience possible and each intern will be treated as a valuable, contributing team member.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize schematics, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, and drawings to construct a testing fixture for new business products

• Analyze testing data and develop a problem solving analysis with engineering team

• Partner with the engineering team in design / development to provide North American OEM customers a world class design, cost and quality product

• Coordinate design and design change activities for various customers

• Collaborate among interdisciplinary teams (ME, EE, ChemE, & Lab Techs) to solve problems

• Gain experience using a variety of engineering software programs

• Other experience gained in CT scanning, additive manufacturing, materials, polymers, RF, EMC, laser welding, advanced manufacturing, etc.

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Rising Junior or Senior status in Electrical Engineering

• Min 3.0 GPA

• Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics

• Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
