Responsibilities

As part of the WAN Engineering department, you’ll be helping to integrate and support solutions to provide connectivity to nearly 9,000 branch offices worldwide. You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple teams to help deliver innovative solutions to provide our branch offices access to services on the Internet and in our data centers. Through familiarity with emerging technologies, security and design practices, you can help provide our branches a secure and responsive network solution to rely on while they service customers.

As an Engineer 1, Network, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining the organization's local, metropolitan, and global-wide area networks. You will troubleshoot network problems and implement new network solutions. You will be responsible for supporting Internet Protocol (IP) routing, switching, load balancing, Wide-Area Network (WAN) access, and wireless technologies across a variety of network platforms. This is considered a hands-on role. You will also be responsible for the testing and analyzing of software releases that impact our networks security.

Required

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• 1+ years of experience configuring/administering LAN/WAN/MAN communications and network hardware such as routers, switches, VPN and firewalls
• Previous experience testing and analyzing software releases impact to network security
• Must have proven experience in routing and switching in large complex networks
• Must have some recent network design experience or lots of network configuration experience
• Experience designing and building configurations for Wide Area Networks transport technologies and routing protocols
• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
• CCNA and/or CCNP certifications preferred
• Experience working with wireless networking technology is strongly preferred
• Experience working with Cisco ASR1000, Cisco ISR 800,1900, and 4k routers, Cisco ASA Firewall, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Lightweight Access Points is strongly preferred
• Experience with IPSEC VPN technologies and specifically Cisco DMVPN implementations is strongly preferred
• Experience building lab environments, executing test plans, and working with network test equipment (IXIA) is strongly preferred
