Work Arrangement
Hybrid: Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time, but the general expectation is that the employee be on-site an average of three (3) days each week.

What You’ll Do
We have the following positions available to start your career with GM as early as January 2024:
Software Engineer
BI/Data Engineer
Network Engineer
Operations Engineer
Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. As a software engineer, you are responsible for creating efficient, reliable solutions that meet all requirements of our end users.
Our BI/Data Engineers will work with big data to analyze and provide new insights to various teams within GM. As a BI/Data Engineer, you will work with technologies such as Hadoop, Greenplum and PowerBI to ensure build and maintain a robust data infrastructure that enables teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, empowering data-driven decision-making, and business growth.
Our Network Engineers are responsible for working collaboratively across other teams to design, implement, and maintain the networks that power GM. As a network engineer, your goal is to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of network infrastructure.
Our Operations Engineers are a dynamic role that includes specific responsibilities such as incident management and response, monitoring and continuity planning and problem resolution with root-cause analysis.

Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or STEM degree
Must be graduating between January 2022 and September 2024
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
Ability to relocate to one of our IT Innovation Centers: Roswell, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Warren, Michigan or Chandler, Arizona
These roles may require you to work second or third shifts or be ready on call if needed
What will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with programming in Java, .NET or other languages
Knowledge of XML and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
Familiarity with packaged software (e.g., SAP, Workday, SharePoint, etc.)
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
Understanding of security, efficient code reuse, and software design
Proficiency in computer programming, administration and/or scripting
Knowledge of security architectures, tools and technologies
Experience with designing secure applications and data protection
Familiarity with security forensics, vulnerability assessment and policy implementation
Excellent collaboration and teamwork – ability to work cross functionally
Knowledge of infrastructure and IT trends such as Cloud Computing
Familiarity with Dev Ops and Site Reliability Engineering Principles and Networking
The salary range for this role is $84,500 - $120,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
