The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations (assembly and/or machining) which includes the quality control functions, control plan compliance, quality testing and quality audit for all production shifts. The candidate should monitor the process compliance and be able to identify any emerging issue, promptly communicate and develop a containment strategy to protect the customer. He/she should lead all quality audits (torque, functional, dock audit, etc) to support quality system.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

1. First responder to floor quality calls.
2. Oversee manufacturing floor and monitor processes to ensure quality.
3. Respond to potential quality issues, and gather important critical information necessary to properly assess the situation, and make the determination if downstream customer is impacted.
4. Develop initial containment strategy for emerging issues, quarantine components/engines as necessary to stop the flow of defects to the customer.
5. Work with production operations to quickly determine the dirty/clean points, and release any conforming material.
6. Engage other plant resources (Resident Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Engineering) for Quality Control issues, to help determine the potential scope of the problem
7. Work with Resident Engineering for disposition of non-conforming material.
8. Issue, request and approve process deviations as necessary and push for closure.
9. Manage the activities of the 3rd part inspection at the end of line & on the outbound shipping dock. Ensure corporate standard(s) are followed.
10. i. Attend production meetings and ensure clear communication handoffs from shift to shift.
11. Ensure part cleanliness checks are completed per requirements and reactions are taken per corporate standard(s).
12. Ensure EMP validations are performed per corporate standard(s).
13. Issue Temporary Tolerance Waivers as appropriate when resident or product engineering is not available for approval
14. Manage / directly supervise functional and torque auditors.
15. Ensure daily audits are completed per corporate requirements for Functional Audit and Torque Audits
16. Ensure functional audit severities L10 or above have QEWO issued for correction with assigned leader.
17. Ensure torque audit failures have QEWO issued for correction.
18. Manage Quarantines / Lot Release
19. Manage quarantine follow-up through repairs, testing and release. Responsible for record management and release of Quarantines. Records of quality issue resolutions, testing/inspection activities must be documented to support the release of quarantine. Follow corporate standard(s).

7. Dock Audit release engines from quarantine after repair(s) are performed
8. Enter sharepoint requests for FA Auditor assignments
9. Review and approve SWI or SOP in MQAS for machining or assembly
10. RCA initial setup and maintenance.
11. Record in RCA any campaign or special offline repairs
12. i. Maintain certifications for torque auditors, FA auditors, and elsewhere as required.
