Sterling Stamping Plant is currently seeking a Quality Control Engineer / Supervisor to join our Quality team. The Quality Control Engineer / Supervisor is responsible for stamping plant product and process control applications utilizing quality control methodologies. The selected candidate is expected to develop and implement new and sustainable processes in a manufacturing environment. This position offers this elected candidate an opportunity to be an internal part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape and to launch a successful career with a major automotive company known in the industry for style. The Quality team's fast paced dynamic environment is the ideal environment for the entry-level or seasoned engineer to gain exposure to real world challenges and rewarding experiences. The Quality Control Engineer expert must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution vehicle quality.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or technical related field
Experience in Manufacturing Demonstrated experience managing union employees
Self-directed, team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem solving skills
Motivated to learn new principles and ideas, and have excitement in applying these new principles
Motivated to make a positive impact in the work environment and on the quality of the products produced
Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and database applications)
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with quality control systems and methodologies
Previous experience working in a union and manufacturing environment
Formal problem-solving training / experience (green / black belt, Shainin, etc)
Automotive experience in Body in White or Stamping
Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
