    We are currently looking for a Raw Materials Engineering Intern to join our team in Decherd, TN. Our team offers a hands-on internship experience within a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real projects, and gain exposure to process improvement, problem-solving, and operational excellence. This internship is ideal for students who are eager to learn, take initiative, and develop practical skills that will support their future careers.

    A Day in the Life:

    • Identify opportunities to improve material utilization and support efforts to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
    • Troubleshoot material-related production issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
    • Participate in projects focused on cycle-time reduction, automated inspection processes, and robotics integration for part transfer.
    • Conduct testing on raw materials and analyze results to ensure quality and performance standards are achieved.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and operational performance.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    Required:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET), or a related engineering field.
    • Students entering their Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
    • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, grow, and challenge yourself to develop new skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with programming, automation, or data analysis tools is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
    • Ability to perform work onsite at Decherd, TN.
