The Consumer Solutions team is responsible for designing, developing, building, testing, implementing and supporting Enterprise Holdings, Inc.’s consumer facing websites and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

As an Engineer 1, you will be responsible for developing, modifying and implementing elements of technology to solve business problems. As an Engineer 1, you will also have the opportunity to assist in the design. You will work with a team to test, research and investigate technology and assist with the requirements gathering of the solutions. We are looking for a self-starter that will maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.

As an Engineer 1, you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. You will work on a DevOps team in a fast paced, dynamic environment and will exercise and grow your skills related to continuous integration and deployment automation. Also, you will have the opportunity to work with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) platforms, and will be responsible for identifying and implementing changes that maximize the efficiency of the team in delivering solutions that meet the non-functional requirements of our products.

As an Engineer 1, you will support our rapidly growing Consumer Solutions platform portfolio. You will collaborate with a talented IT team to build, automate, and maintain our virtual environments, which enable delivery of innovative mobile and web solutions to our customers. This role will automate configurations and templates for various Linux based services, measure and maintain reliability through instrumentation and monitoring, and interface with multiple development teams to provide services and support. You will be responsible for modifying code/scripts, and developing application code independently within or outside various teams using applicable technology. This is an exciting role in a fast paced, collaborative team that strives to build and foster a culture of Infrastructure as a code and to implement the latest standards of DevOps automation.

Required:

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• 1+ years of experience developing software applications
• 1+ year of programming experience with J2EE specifications (OOAD, Core Java, Servlets, Web Services, XML, JavaScript)
• Experience with a build scripts tool such as Maven, Ant, Grade, Antifactory and Jenkins
• Experience with a code version control tool such as GitHub/Bitbucket
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand and challenging environment
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and deepen existing expertise
• Ability to survey the department developers and management to identify challenges with current environment
• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

• Experience understanding Linux or UNIX OS, tools, and troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Experience with building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS (Amazon Web Services) or/and Azure platform.
• Working knowledge of designing and developing with products like Struts, Hibernate, Spring
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure automations - Chef, Terraform, Python and shell scripts
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies is preferred
