CORE ONBOARD SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN

This position directly contributes to Motional's driverless future through productizing the high performance compute operating system underlying our autonomous driving stack.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Add support for a hypervisor while enabling safety-critical RTOS support
• Provide robustness through enabling failover boot options
• Add flexibility to support multiple platform variations with a single OS image

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Undergraduate or graduate student in computer science, or similar field
• Experience with Python, Bash, or modern C++

BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED)

• Experience using modern software engineering tools (e.g., version control, CI)
• Experience developing software with others as part of a project team
• Experience configuring and building Unix-like kernels and supporting bootloaders
• Experience with artifact integrity and verification
