DATA ANALYST INTERN

Motional is seeking a talented Data Analyst Intern to support the Triage (AV Performance Analysis) team under the Test Engineering, Automation and Tools group. This role will generate autonomous vehicle performance insights and metrics reporting in support of our self-driving technology.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Query, analyze, and audit a variety of vehicle performance metrics to support the Triage team specifically as well as the larger Test Engineering, Automation and Tools group.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting on key metrics for Triage team external stakeholders.
• Act as an expert on Motional's varied data sources: partner with data engineering teams in diagnosing data quality issues and developing enhancements to data collection and reporting.
• Perform comprehensive quality assurance, ensuring that data meet specifications and reports remain accurate and reliable even in the face of process and tool changes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Undergraduate student in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or similar field.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and exemplary attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Passion for working with data and visualizations.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel and familiarity with SQL

BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED):

• Experience developing software in a project team setting.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with Linux and scripting languages (E.g: Bash/Shell, Python).
