    The Motional Pittsburgh office is located in the new Hazelwood Green development at 4734 Second Avenue, a culmination of the city's goal of restoring an economic driver to the neighborhood in a thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable way. With views along the Monongahela river, the Pittsburgh office is in the heart of this new state of the art development.

    SAFETY ENGINEERING INTERN

    The Safety Engineering Intern will support our broader Safety team with projects relating to making safe autonomous vehicles a reality. The internship will expose you to a broad system safety view that incorporates diverse aspects (hardware, software, human, environment).

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Support Safety implementation of next-gen robotaxi vehicle including requirements, implementation review, and validation methods to ensure safe driverless operation.
    • Focus on supporting implementation and development of the onboard and offboard safety systems built into the vehicle as on-road testing occurs in Pittsburgh and at production locations.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Enrolled in Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related engineering field
    • Experience in with automotive software (autonomous or conventional)
