Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a 2023 paid summer intern for our Corporate HR Benefits team. The role is located in the Pittsburgh office at 201 Isabella Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

What are we looking for? We look for interns with the following skills and abilities:
Desire to learn how employee benefits (Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, 401k savings and pension) are administered and utilized to support the business and HR strategies
Outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude/desire to work in Human Resources
Experience working on a team and/or on a project in a work setting or in extracurricular activities
Exceptional Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills with attention to detail
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
What will be the major activities and key challenges? The Corporate HR Benefits Intern will be involved with or exposed to the following:
Benefits Reporting/Metrics
Benefits Policy & Compliance
Benefit plan design and administration policies, procedures, and strategies
Opportunity to obtain HIPAA certification through the company provided training program.
Vendor Management
Researching and updating historical records
Union Contracts benefit's support
Benefits related communication strategies
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree program in Business or Human Resources with an expected graduation date in 2023 or April/May/June 2024
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous business internship preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel functionality
