    Our Facility located in Fullerton, CA is seeking an EHS ENGINEER with Manufacturing experience. The EHS Engineer will provide technical assistance on matters related to environmental, health and safety compliance programs and practices with a primary focus on environmental science.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure Compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements
    • Supports location EHS Manager in the overall environmental, health, and safety process implementation and oversight
    • Supports development and implementation of the EHS management system
    • Writes procedures, administers requirements and conducts recordkeeping
    • Assists in environmental investigations
    • Ensures compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and Arconic Standards
    • Develops, recommends and implements programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations including documentation, reporting, permits, manifests, training, and policy development
    • Assist with site emergencies (spill response/guidance/coordinating training)
    • Responsible for oversight of hazardous waste program (including maintenance of profiles, EPA ID numbers, Permit-by-Rule documents, Biennial reporting, TRI reporting, and hazardous waste characterization)
    • Coordinate with inspectors/audits (DTSC, Fire Dept, ISO 14001, Corporate)
    • Support location with environmental permitting and reporting requirements requirements in of California in relation to air, wastewater and hazardous waste
    • Develops and administers EHS training and communication programs including but not limited to (i.e. RCRA, HAZMAT,)
    • Interfaces with external agencies, plant, division and corporate contacts regarding various environmental initiatives, programs and practices

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or Environmental Science from an accredited institution
    • Em ployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1 year of experience as a EHS Engineer in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with ISO14001 audits
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products
    • Experience communicating and presenting information to employees at various levels
    • Hazardous waste or DOT training.
