Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is a leader in the Aerospace Fasteners market and requires an Enterprise Data Analyst assist in the development of enterprise reporting capabilities to enable organizational leaders to quickly analyze vast sources of data and make key business decision. The analyst will help organize and make sense of data that is available in dozens of enterprise systems, bringing the data together in a common data warehouse system, and generating real-time business decision solutions for users across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders in sales, operations, product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to help uncover and make sense of information to provide business insights to key stakeholders. You will work with IT business analysts, managers, and developers around the world to understand and extract data from source systems. You will work on data extraction, preparation, modelling, visualization, and analysis. You will become the defacto lead on how application data is used across the organization.

Primary Job Duties

• Assist and lead in the design and development of a star schema / dimensional enterprise data warehouse.
• Write and refine user stories for data pipelines, reports & dashboards by gathering information from functional areas.
• Develop Power BI datasets for consumption by report developers and business users.
• Support data governance model for rapid expansion on use of Power BI across the enterprise. Expand existing procedures and documentation.
• Work across departments to understand inputs and ensure reliability and recommend actions to improve quality.
• Develop reporting and analytics solutions with user friendly outputs for various departments within the organization.
• Leverage existing enterprise data model and assist in the development of the next generation of the enterprise data architecture
• Consistently educate yourself in the latest features and capabilities within analytics platforms along with the latest trends and innovations in the data management field.
• Develop functional specification for extract, transform, and load (etl) of data across systems.
• Develop Power BI dashboards.
• Work with IT and business teams across north America and Europe

Experience and Background

• Understand core concepts of dimensional modelling and design differences between OLTP and OLAP systems
• Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
• Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience
• Ability to write complex queries in SQL
• Experience creating data models using power BI along with associated languages (DAX, M)
• Self-starter

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• MINIMUM 2 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN DATA ANALYST, BUSINESS ANALYST OR SIMILAR ROLE
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred

• Experience building and managing data governance models
• Multidisciplinary (finance, operations, sales) experience in a manufacturing environment
• Recently acquired or working towards Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate certification
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Power Platform Technology Stack ( Power Automate, Power Apps, Virtual Agents, Power BI)
