    MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND KEY CHALLENGES:

    This position will assist in monitoring site compliance with all applicable local, state & federal safety & environmental laws. Duties could include: develop, implement and maintain required programs, policies & procedures. Implement & sustain EHS systems; work with manufacturing employees to insure compliance, conduct required EHS training, prepare required reports & perform industrial hygiene activities including noise surveys & personal air monitoring; implement & participate in site injury prevention program, conduct site audits to maintain site compliance; monitor waste streams & waste products to ascertain ways to minimize or eliminate waste..

    Responsibilities include:

    Assigned projects will focus on process improvements related to Environmental, Health, and Safety. Projects will give a realistic view into the requirements of an EHS professional in the manufacturing industry.

  • Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

    • 3.0 GPA and above
    • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
    • Prior work experience.
    • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Safety Sciences with an expected graduation date of August 2022, December 2022, or April/May/June 2023
    • Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
