Howmet is currently in search of an Internal Audit IT Specialist to join the Internal Audit group in Pittsburgh, PA. This role will report to the Internal Audit Director for Global IT. Howmet's Internal Audit team is responsible for providing an objective and professional evaluation of internal control systems and to recommend and advise on improvements in control systems for the company's operating locations and key processes. The internal audit group is ideal for career development for highly motivated individuals as this position offers extensive exposure to Howmet Segments and to the company's financial policies and practices.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES/KEY CHALLENGES

• Executing audits of Information Technology (IT) and Process Control Systems (PCS) environments
• Exhibiting accountability for thorough execution of audit assignments, including proper pre-audit analysis for assigned scopes
• Demonstrating increased audit skill levels to perform increasingly more complex audits
• Leading small to medium location or process audits
• Traveling to company locations, many of which are manufacturing facilities
• Creating or modifying audit work programs
• Developing ideas for process improvements and contributing to department, business segment and company performance
• If leading an audit: coordinating overall audit schedule and logistics with location personnel and performing pre-audit activities: reviewing risks, assigning audit scopes to auditors, assisting special auditors, and leading pre-audit calls.
• Performing assigned audit testing and delivering the information requested by the team leader
• Logically analyzing information to make recommendations in relatively limited time frames, and effectively developing an understanding of business functions being audited in order to fairly and objectively assess controls
• Preparing audit reports for management within required deadlines
• Extensively use data analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the audit team
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and assist in developing audit plans to address related risks associated with the application of such technologies (i.e., use of Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Smart Automation, and Cybersecurity Protocols).
• Testing of the design and operating effectiveness of SOX IT general and application controls
• Being a role model for integrity, diversity and inclusion

Travel could be as high as 50% monthly. Travel normally occurs the middle two weeks of the month

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent communication, sound judgement and interpersonal skills

• High proficiency in using MS Office Suite

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Business from an accredited institution
• Minimum 4 years of IT experience or internal auditing/external auditing of IT functions
