    Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Logistics Coordinator in the Shipping/Receiving department to be responsible for product flow through receiving, shipping and inventory locations. This position is in Kingston, NY

    Job duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates daily shipment documents, including invoicing. Reconciles daily shipping documents and transactions. Coordinates problem solving with customer service, accounting, and materials groups;
    • Prepares export documents and coordinates the completion of Certificates of Conformance. Ensures compliance with export, Hazardous Materials regulations and TSA requirements;
    • Process timely and accurate material receipts and supplier debit transitions;
    • Oversees the receipt, stocking, issuing and cutting metal goods (steel room);
    • Conducts an effective inventory accuracy assurance program (cycle counting plus); takes the lead in resolving specific and systemic problems/errors;
    • Focal point for traffic coordination, interfacing with carriers as needed;
    • Analyzes, budgets and orders shipping and departmental supplies;
    • Maintains highly accurate and organized records for all shipping activity and related documents;
    • Oversee, coordinate and transact customer product returns and repairs, including required repair components.
    • Process and coordinate transactions related to movement WIP to/from outside processes/subcontractors.
    • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the computerized manifesting system, including carrier tracking and claims.
    • Assist Team Leader in effective management of material locations and organization.
    • Acting Team Leader when the primary Team Leader is absent.
    • Promotes and supports continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices;
    • Assists in assessing individual and group performance and skills
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    • Maintain dock and office supplies
    • Data entry
    • Create bills of lading
    • Ability to create tracking tools
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent computer skills including Excel
    • Attention to detail
    • Self-motivated
    • Willing to work flexible hours
