    Howmet Structures Systems (HSS) is seeking an ambitious, disciplined, career minded, dynamic person, who is looking for a great opportunity for a Outside Sales Representative position. This position will be remote. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying leads, calling on prospective customers, quoting and customer satisfaction. The Outside Sales Representative position will lead a wide range of products from the 5 plants within the HSS business unit.

    • Actively managing and growing a dedicated sales territory.
    • Partnering with Inside Sales team to meet or exceed division sales goals.
    • Business to Business cold calling on a continuous basis.
    • Building long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
    • Conduct sales calls and face-to-face meetings with customers
    • Collaborate across departments, Customer Service, Marketing, Production Planning, Quality and Credit Organization, for the success of the business plan.
    • Maintain a professional company image at all times
    • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance
    • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
    • Provide after-sales support to retain customers
    • Educate customers on company products
    • Monitor the company's industry competitors, new products and market conditions and communicate relevant information into the company
    • Support the preparation of sales forecasts and ensures the forecast data is current and updated within the marketing group
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both via telephone, in written format, and in face-to-face communications. The application of these skills is critical both with the customer and on an internal level
    • Work through On Time Delivery and customer scorecards to achieve optimum rating, assists with monthly performance review reports
    • Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Proactively research and respond to customer inquiries regarding status of order, will investigate and resolve production status issues, drawing on organization to resolve road-blocks, will address shipping and scheduling issues, will proactively communicate with customer regarding changes in product availability or delivery schedules
    • Occasionally processes customer purchase order and reviews quote for accuracy to ensure original quote meets purchase order requirements.
    • Occasionally maintain order book with accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ability to review current orders against expected platform build rates, understanding of end user applications, ability to interface with customers when order activity doesn't keep pace with end user forecasts,
    • understanding of drawings, prints, and customer specifications
  • Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    • 3 years minimum, customer service/sales and/or marketing experience
    • Willingness to travel 25-50%
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
