    SUMMARY

    The supply chain manager coordinates the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain including strategy, the source (of raw materials or services), manufacturing (focused on productivity and efficiency), forecasting, inventory management, delivery and logistics, and the return system (for defective or unwanted products). Interface with customers on site performance. Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. In addition, manage the shipping and receiving department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the facility in developing a plan and methodology to level and maintain backlog.
    • Guarantee and assurance of compliance to the agreed and planned customer delivery dates in the logistics process.
    • Creation of a manufacturing program plan based on a long-term, middle-term and short-term planning of Product Management or the available customer and market information. (S&OP)
    • Improvements in productivity and efficiency go straight to the bottom line of a company and have a real and lasting impact.
    • Appropriate coordination of the manufacturing program planning with the individual departments (manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, tooling etc.)
    • Assurance of planning and scheduling of orders to the shop-floor to meet customer requirements/dates.
    • To establish, maintain and ensure relevant and proactive communication with all areas that are necessary for the manufacturing process.
    • Assurance of the proper choice of appropriate packing material for the products for transport and intermediate transport, storage, intermediate storage and supply of products;
    • Determination of appropriate ways of transport and services (in coordination with procurement) under observation of cost and quality aspects.
    • Responsible for the ideal stocking of raw material, semi-finished goods (WIP) and finished goods under observation of cost and delivery aspects.
    • Support of manufacturing process by providing appropriate supply processes and systems.
    • Assurance of compliance of IMEX requirements of the company
    • To support and increase the continued improvement process for the steady increase and improvement of processes in logistics.
    • To make analysis and to issue reports on logistics data (e.g. OTD, efficiency of the planning and scheduling process, cycle time analysis, warehouse and inventory cost, etc)
    • Suggestions to improve productivity and quality
    • Supervise a team of twenty (20) from the shipping/receiving department

    IMEX

    • SPA for IMEX and TSA activities for the site.
    • Manage compliance with U.S. and foreign export regulations - including ITAR, EAR, OFAC and other regulatory agencies.
    • Develop and implement import/export compliance procedures.
    • Work with host regarding foreign visitors and ensures security is aware of the visit.
    • Participate in import/export compliance education (internal/external).
    • Preparation of NAFTA certificate after investigating and confirming qualification of product.
    • Ensure retention of all import/export documentation and records to comply with the regulation.
    • Import/Export ASP compliance reporting.
    • Perform Import/Export/TSA self-audits for successful monitoring.
    • Perform Export Compliance Training for new hires.
    • Perform other related duties for Import/Export/TSA compliance.
    • Assist in investigation of potential disclosures.
    • Audit facility regarding foreign national employees.
    • Work with Engineering on classification issues.

    Employee may be required to travel as required including international travel.

  • Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
    • MINIMUM 5 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
