What You’ll Do

You’ll have real responsibilities that impact actual products from inception to delivery. You will work on projects and network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality, and efficiency of our operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and procure various commodities such as plastics, machined parts, electronic components, cables, etc.
• Run Oracle MRP action report and execute action messages daily per plan
• Initiate RFQ/RFPs and evaluate supplier bids as required
• Responsible for release of standard POs and blanket POs as required
• Process and coordinate timely returns of defective product
• Interface with suppliers, QA, and Engineering to resolve quality issues
• Provide accurate information for planning purposes
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with other procurement/material projects as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager

• U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a major related to work assignment during the internship.
• Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA or equivalent
• Must be available to work part-time (10-25 hours per week) for up to 6 months

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
• Effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Organized, thorough, and able to multi-task
• Completed coursework relevant to major, such as accounting, business, economics and finance
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
• A customer-service oriented attitude is required
• Strong sense of urgency to place orders and ensure timely delivery
• Oracle experience a plus
• Relevant internship experience a plus
