JOB DESCRIPTION

The Finance Analyst Intern is a key pipeline role for Santander to attract, develop, and retain future Finance Leaders. Strong candidates that successfully complete their internship will be considered to join the Finance Leadership Rotational Program (“FLRP”) Analyst upon college graduation. The internship will be in Accounting. During the summer, the intern will be an active member of a specific finance organization involved in both ad-hoc projects as well as monthly deliverables. This role will have a high level of visibility and exposure to both Finance and Business Executive Management.

Duties:

• Supporting role for the monthly reporting of CCAR FR Y-14M First Lien Mortgage and home equity Schedules
• Develop analysis for specified data fields from source systems to better understand edit check logic for FR Y-14M Schedules
• Develop First Lien and Home Equity portfolio performance analytics for management reporting
• Analyze, edit, check logic, and document impact on key data elements
• Support loan mapping for new software implementation
• Support chart of accounts mapping for new software implementation

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
• Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above.
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program.
• U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

QUALIFICATIONS

• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Demonstrated leadership within the college community
• strong Microsoft Office experience is required, particularly advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
• Strong preference for working with large data sets in a logical fashion
• Must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects is required
• Must demonstrate the ability to take ownership of assignments and drive to completion on a timely basis
