CLOUD/ELASTIC DEVELOPER

As a Barclays Elastic/Cloud Developer, you will be involved in a number of activities related to multiple critical controls, including Request and Onecert toolsets managed by the Identity and Access Management Team. You will be working in a Java 8 environment and be directly involved in development activities on listed technologies, realizing requirements to deliver technical and functional artifacts. You will also ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

WHAT WILL  YOU BE DOING?

•     Designing and configuring ETL data pipelines using Elastic Common Schema to onboard application logs and metrics (security analytics)

•     Configuring index templates and data life cycle management (ILM) for data retention

•     Securing, maintaining, optimizing, documenting, some design and build, Elastic Stack Enterprise solutions (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and/or Grafana, and Beats)

•     Developing Elastic alerting solutions using Watcher and Kibana or Grafana

•     Alerts that will have integrate into Jira for ticketing

•     Developing Machine Learning (ML) job to dynamically monitor and alert on specific metrics and KPIs

•     Following life cycle processes to move solutions from Dev to QA to Production

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

•     Experience with evaluating existing Elastic clusters, configuration parameters, indexing, search and query performance tuning, security and administration

•     Experience in developing in multiple languages (Python/Java, Bash, Painless, or other scripting languages)

•     Experience with the full ELK Stack - Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beat agents, Machine Learning, APM, X-Pack and REST API integration

•     Knowledge of Data, building data pipelines
