    Who we are

    The Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) group at J.P. Morgan focuses on companies with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million, municipalities, and not-for-profit entities requiring both traditional banking services (lending and cash management) as well as investment banking products (including debt and equity capital markets, risk management derivatives, and corporate finance advisory). With over 100 locations, our local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, allows us to provide clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service.

    What you can expect

    Our Summer Analyst Program will provide you with an introduction to client management, credit structuring, and product sales and allow you to develop the necessary skill set to become a successful Full-time Analyst. The 10-week program will begin with three days of orientation and training, giving you key practical and business knowledge you’ll use throughout the summer.

    You will also have the opportunity to hear from and network with senior leaders and spend time with peers from programs across the bank at philanthropic and group events.

    Upon successful completion of the internship program, you may receive an offer of full-time employment.

    Key responsibilities of a Summer Analyst include:

    • Financial modeling to support financing transactions
    • Assisting in the completion of credit approval memos
    • Preparation of marketing materials for use in client meetings (covering topics such as financing alternatives, working capital optimization, and industry analysis)
    • Developing an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings

    We are looking for candidates who have an interest in corporate banking and enjoy working with people, building relationships and providing the best customer experience.

    Key qualifications:

    • Minimum GPA of 3.2
    • Coursework in business, finance, or accounting a plus
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
    • Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
