Who we are

The Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI) group at J.P. Morgan focuses on complex U.S. and Canadian companies with revenues in excess of $500 million requiring both traditional banking services (lending and treasury) as well as investment banking products (including, but not limited to, debt and equity capital markets, risk management derivatives, and M&A). Our group is truly unique – we provide a hybrid coverage partnership between our CCBSI Bankers and Investment Bankers, who together build relationships with our clients to offer tailored corporate finance solutions.

How we’re organized

• CCBSI is organized into 4 diversified, regional businesses (Northeast, Midwest, South and West) and 5 industry-focused businesses (Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Energy, Technology, Entertainment and Real Estate).
• Full-Time Analysts in our regional groups will work with CCBSI Bankers and Product Partners (including regional Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Investment Banking, Credit and Treasury Services) who cover a variety of industries to provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.
• Full-Time Analysts in our industry groups will work with CCBSI Bankers and Product Partners (Investment Banking coverage, Credit, DCM and Treasury Services) to provide industry-specific expertise, solutions and advisory.

What you can expect

Our Full-Time Analyst Program will provide you with an introduction to corporate finance and credit analysis and allow you to develop the necessary skillset to become a successful CCBSI Banker. The program kicks off with a seven-week Investment Banking training program in New York City as well as a two-week Credit training program in Chicago. The combination of corporate finance and credit training is unique to CCBSI and aimed at providing you with the foundation required to advise complex clients across our full product suite and ultimately become a successful Analyst.

Key responsibilities of a Full-Time Analyst include:

• Financial modeling to support financing transactions
• Execution of transactions by working with product partners from initial pitch phase through marketing to close
• Preparation of marketing materials for use in client meetings (covering topics such as financing alternatives, working capital optimization and industry analysis)
• Coordinating with product and coverage partners to produce and distribute client deliverables
• Developing an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings

About You

We are looking for candidates with the intellectual curiosity and drive to contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive banking solutions for our clients.

Key qualifications:

• Minimum GPA of 3.2
• Coursework in finance, accounting or economics a plus
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
• Series 79 and 63 licensed (or must obtain)
