What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, deliver changes to the client connectivity applications that provide the infrastructure for trading equities worldwide. Design, develop, and build new features for the applications that provide low-latency, high throughput processing of messages
• Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle to build tactical and strategic solutions to meet business requirements
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions and suggest improvements to the development or operational process where appropriate
• Provide robust solutions to complex problems requiring interaction between multiple processes communicating via different middleware protocols and ensuring guaranteed delivery of messages between these applications
• Provide first line support to internal users of our service and second line support of our production environments
• Investigate and resolve production issues and assist the support team with problem analysis and data recovery and to deliver tactical fixes and configuration changes where required. Engage in performance tuning and enhancements of a low-latency multi-threaded distributed message processing system

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related position
• Must have at least two (2) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Using Core Java to develop features and write source code. Writing efficient source code for space and time complexity to create data structures. Working with object oriented concepts, Java, Python, and Perl to analyze code and structures. Deploying and developing applications with use of Linux and Unix. Developing and maintaining shell scripts to handle lifecycle scripts and automation scripts. Performing exhaustive unit testing, integration testing and performance testing before pushing source code changes to Git and the QA environment. Analyzing, logging, and debugging information coupled with knowledge of the application to resolve complicated production issues

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

Salary/Rate Minimum/yr: $150,000
Salary/Rate Maximum/yr: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
