    2019 is the 16th season of Citizens Bank’s sponsorship of the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park and the 5th at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, in Philadelphia’s iconic Fairmount Park. These relationships set us apart from our competition and enable us to deliver a differentiated experience for current and potential customers attending baseball games, popular music concerts and orchestra performances. We’re working to bring new enhancements to these sponsorships for 2018 to foster and create increased engagement with attendees that will translate into favorable brand awareness and positively impact our business.

    Internship Timeframe:

    • March – October; position may be extended to coincide with Philadelphia Phillies season

    Location:

    • One Logan Square – 130 N. 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA (large portion of time will be spent at Citizens Bank Park and Mann Center)

    Hours and Work Schedule

    • Hours per Week: 40

    Up to 40 hours per week, including:

    • 50-80% of Phillies home games and Mann Center concerts and events
    • ALL Citizens Bank Park and Mann Center shifts begin at 5pm on weekdays, 11am on weekends and select weekdays
    • Traditional daytime office hours on non-game days
    • Community and press events

    General Responsibilities - Reports to Senior Sponsorships Manager

    Philadelphia Phillies

    • On-site liaison between the Philadelphia Phillies and Citizens Bank for sponsorship-related programs at Citizens Bank Park, including distribution and inventory of premium giveaways and interaction with fans, lead generation, account opening, etc
    • Manages all aspects of Citizens Bank Ballpark Bankers ambassador program
    • Writes and edits Phillies trivia questions for the Citizens Bank Phan Trivia Challenge. Assists with management of Phillies Jr. RBI League sponsorship, including planning volunteer and special events
    • Assists with distribution of Phillies tickets and premium items to community partners
    • Provides general support for Corporate Affairs team, working on projects including company meetings, press conferences, publications and community initiatives

    Mann Center for the Performing Arts

    • On-site liaison between the Mann Center staff and Citizens Bank for sponsorship-related programs at the venue, including distribution and inventory of premium giveaways and interaction with fans, lead generation, etc
    • With second contractor, manages all aspects of ambassador program
    • Provides general support for Corporate Affairs team, working on projects
  • Qualifications
    • Candidates must have completed junior year of college; advanced degree or graduate students preferred
    • Must be available for approximately 50-80% of Phillies home games (minimum 40 games), and Mann Center events - including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as weekly daytime office hours and special events as needed
    • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, writing and organizational skills
    • Supervisory and project management experience recommended – contractors will manage brand ambassadors at each shift
    • Ability to interact and manage colleagues at different levels of the organization
    • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with social media initiatives recommended
    • Access to reliable transportation and/or comfort level with local public transit system
    • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
