  • Responsibilities

    If you are a current college student, you have the chance to jumpstart your career growth by applying to one of our internship programs. Citizens Bank internship programs give you the chance to work on a variety of critical business assignments that will test your skills and use your academic knowledge. For many of our successful interns, these opportunities often lead to full-time job offers.

    As a Finance Intern you will have the opportunity to participate in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting related activities while improving your financial analysis skills and enhancing your knowledge of Excel. You will be placed in one of the following Finance areas for the summer:

    Commercial Banking Finance:

    • Gain exposure to the various Commercial Banking business lines to establish a basic understanding, loan and deposit accounting / pricing, etc.
    • Financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting

    Business Services Finance:

    • Gain exposure to the Business Services Finance team and learn about the services and delivery channels utilized to support CFG’s overall enterprise
    • Assist in recurring management reporting preparation, consolidation, and analysis for review with senior management. Participate in month-end close/ forecast preparation and related control functions

    Finance Risk:

    • Gain exposure to the Finance Risk team and a basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley oversight and Finance products/services through daily assigned tasks
    • Participate in SOX 404 control testing as assigned under the supervision of a senior-level analyst
  • Qualifications
    • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related degree
    • Expected graduation date of May 2020 preferred
    • Minimum GPA 3.0
