    As a Barclays Credit Data Analytics Lead, you will be building the existing customer market credit strategies from scratch within the risk appetite and Risk reward framework. You will also be responsible for seeking approval from the Risk Independent validation unit and legal/ compliance and fair lending teams. The credit data and analytics team is responsible for supporting the US consumer bank business with cutting edge analytics to make Underwriting and existing customer management decisions to keep customers engaged.

    What will you be doing?

    • Being responsible for utilizing the risk appetite and risk reward framework to build ECM credit strategies from scratch
    • Obtaining necessary approval from Risk 2LOD, Risk Independent validation unit under the Model Risk management space, and from Legal/ Compliance and Fair Lending teams
    • Managing the controls associated with all the strategies to Exception reporting, MIS reporting and Ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management
    • Being responsible for managing and sharing insights regarding the overall Authorization goal for the Bank
    • Tracking the approval rates and comparing it with industry provided benchmark to identify opportunities to propose to senior management
    • Being responsible for making choices related to managing exceptions to strategies and remediations

    What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and experience in creating Credit Strategies (Over-limit/ Delinquent Auth/ Payhold/ High Risk Account Management strategies)
    • Experience in utilizing data query tools SAS, Python or SQL to support, test, evaluate and maintain data analysis and Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting
    • Experience constructing credit proposal (targeting criteria, stress level, objective function, financial assumption) and complete risk team check process
    • Experience working collaboratively with 2nd line of defense team (Risk team), model validation/governance team, legal/compliance team; with great interpersonal skills

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statics, Operation Research
    • Ability to provide and support with investment efficient frontier options given various investment objective functions under Risk appetite and capital constraints
    • Ability to perform complex and advanced financial analysis and valuation, i.e., economic value/ present value financial models using SAS and Python
    • Ability to ideate, test, and evaluate product, and make choices to optimize profitability for Credit programs using test/control incremental methodology
