CREDIT TCU TRADING ASSISTANT

As a Barclays Credit Trade Capture Trading Assistant, you will have the exciting opportunity to provide front line support of Credit Trading activities performed by the desk while working closely with Credit Trading across all Barclays offices in the Americas. You will be covering Corporate Bonds, Emerging markets, Municipals, as well as the instruments used to hedge those businesses.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $75,000

Salary / Rate Maximum: $85,000

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

•     Ensuring initial Trade Capture, and working on Corporate Actions Processing actively, which includes but is not limited to maturities, calls, debt exchanges, debt to equity

•     Providing close coverage of Credit traders, including but not limited to trade booking issues, PNL queries, risk monitoring, trade fails, infrastructure queries

•     Troubleshooting trade booking application issues with IT support, development team, and counterparts in other asset classes, including but not limited to Rates, FX, and Equities

•     Inputting real-time exceptions related to regulations into Trade Capture Systems (TRACE reporting)

•     Adhering to a ‘right first time’ policy and liaising with internal counterparts to know the requests for entries required to ensure accurate capture in our systems

•    Learning and maintaining working knowledge of products traded by the desk, which includes but is not limited to bonds, treasuries, equities, futures, options, loans

•     Leading and maintaining responsibility for exception and query management, Position Changes (Book Transfers, conversions)

•     Fast learner with the ability to use their initiative and apply the knowledge to new situations

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

•     Previous experience with Credit Products preferred but not required (Bonds, Treasuries, Loans)

•     Existing knowledge of vendor platforms (FINRA TRAQs, DTC, Bloomberg, etc.) preferred but not required

•     Experience of handling/resolving P&L queries
