As a Barclays Delta 1 Trader, you will be focusing on the index business. As part of the Equity financing umbrella, Delta 1 provides a wide array of financing solutions to a broad spectrum of clients such as hedge funds, pensions and insurance providers. You will be involved with daily market making and risk management of repo and dividend risk across index products such as total return swaps, futures, forwards and options and will interact with various support and technology functions from a pricing, booking and risk capture perspective.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 250,000

What will you be doing?

• Pricing, trading and risk managing a variety of Delta 1 products
• Being accountable for the market making of BTIC & EFP markets
• Developing strategies and building trading tools for enhancing desk’s pricing and risk metrics
• Monitoring daily dividends on cash instruments vs futures, to take advantage of market mispricing
• Pricing and trading on US broad based indices and ETFs
• Automating processes and client axes on index/ETFs on a daily basis

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree level in a Finance/Computer Science/Mathematical/Economics related field
• Proven experience in building quantitative solutions with background in financing and/or equities markets
• Comfortable to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while minimizing operational risk
• Problem solver, able to work independently and leverage technology to automate processes and streamline daily trading tasks

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Expertise in trading equities Delta-1 products on US broad based indices
• Exposure to a financing business under a Prime brokerage umbrella: funding, securities lending, futures clearing
• Advanced quantitative and coding skills
