Job Title: Deputy Treasurer Barclays Bank Delaware

Location: Wilmington, Delaware

Overall purpose of role

Manage day-to-day Treasury function for BBDE; specifically overseeing cash / liquidity pool management, deposit / funding issuance and execution, managing interest rate and liquidity risk exposures, preparing regulatory, management and ad hoc data requests and understanding capital markets dynamics.

Key Accountabilities

· Optimize funding strategies and sources including ongoing issuance platforms (such as brokered CDs, deposit sweeps, tax-exempt customer deposits, securitizations), identification of new sources and contingent sources.

· Develop and maintain funding plan through the MTP periods within Treasury targets and Risk limits.

· Manage liquidity to ensure sufficient buffer is maintained and manage the investments of the liquidity pool into qualifying asset buffer securities.

· Deploy appropriate hedging strategies for management of interest rate risk.

· Management of Treasury P&L driven by cost of funds, hedging costs and FTP framework

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree(s)

· Significant banking / capital markets / financial services industry experience

· Analytic and quantitative skills, i.e., financial modelling, strong Excel skills

· Experience managing bank funding programs.

· Ability to coach and develop staff.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

· Management of Credit Card ABS issuance program

· Bank investment portfolio/liquidity pool management across asset classes

· Broad experience in core bank Treasury disciplines beyond this role, i.e., Capital, Liquidity, ALM

· Professional degree and/or professional certification (MBA, CFA, CPA, etc) desired

· Experience working in a global bank or regional bank of a similar size.
