EQUITIES - TRADE FLOOR SUPPORT

As a Barclays Equities - Trade Floor Support, you will be responsible for the Production Trading platform used by external clients and internal trading desks. You will ensure that applications and infrastructure are operating to meet the needs of the Equities business. You will be responsible for day to day support of the users, incident and outage management, and change management.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Supporting the production environment and user base of a critical trading platform

• Proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production incidents

• Working directly with business users, development, and infrastructure teams in order to address inquires and resolve production issues quickly and improve the platform

• Participating in production changes and post release checkouts

• Driving process improvements, system monitoring, and automation 

• Managing business, enterprise, and supporting team initiatives and projects

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, IT or Mathematics-related discipline

• 5+ years of total work experience

• 2+ years of experience in directly supporting Front Office trading applications

• Experience sitting on the Equities trading floor sitting with the business and user base

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Experience in High Touch, Program Trading, Smart Order Routers and Algorithmic trading

• Strong troubleshooting capability and analytical skills

• Experience with Perl, Python and/or Shell scripting skills

• Experience with KDB, Autosys job scheduler, SQL, bitbucket, Geneos ITRS, JIRA, and Confluence
