FIXED INCOME FINANCING TRADE CAPTURE UTILITY ANALYST
As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing Trade Capture Utility (FIF TCU) Analyst, you’ll be a part of the Trade Capture team which manages specific trade capture and closely related functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that we maintain a high degree of accuracy around trade capture, which is a crucial to our risk management and accurate books and records. You’ll have the chance to liaise with internal counterparts across the firm, including Legal, Finance, Compliance, Trade Control, and Sales.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Booking Trade Capture in a timely and accurate manner, including Initial Trade Capture and Lifecycle Events (includes and is not limited to Cancellations, rerates, closeouts)
Liaising with internal counterparts to understand requests for entries required to ensure accurate capture in our systems
Reporting to management on requests received and completed on regular basis
Adhering to a ‘right first time’ policy on all Trade Capture activity
Inputting real-time exceptions related to regulations into Trade Capture Systems (e.g. Dodd-Frank mandatory clearing)
Performing upon request specification and testing of improvements for all systems and processes
Upholding the controls and procedures for the team as and when required
Proactively seeking cross-training opportunities for on all functions performed within the team and across the wider department.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Degree in Business/Finance
One to two years of experience in an operational environment, gained in high volume House and client service setting
Understanding of the Front to Back lifecycle of a trade and its associated risks to the firm and to clients
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, excellent verbal and written skills, and fluency in English
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Knowledge of Markets (Fixed Income, US Treasuries, AGY, MBS, Credit assets, Equity Financing, Fixed Income Financing, Cash)
Highly numerate with analytical problem solving ability and attention to detail, with an extensive understanding of risks and controls
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely under pressure, while remaining adaptable and professional
Ambitious and results driven self-starter with willingness to take on responsibility to gain in depth product knowledge
