FX OPTIONS TRADER

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

As a Barclays FX Options Trader, you will have the opportunity to support an FX option trading book out of the Americas. You’ll focus on working with clients, sales, and structuring teams to help grow our franchise in this region. You’ll also have the chance to help the senior trader manage risk and engage sales to provide liquidity in the space to clients. Using your experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to deliver regular market commentary and trade ideas.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Working with Sales to service and grow the franchise

• Carrying out risk management of a complex options portfolio comprising vanillas and exotics, whiel assisting the senior trader 

• Using bespoke pricing tools to market make vanillas and exotics

• Disseminating market commentary and trade ideas

• Reviewing desk positions (i.e. risk and P&L) for adequacy and appropriateness each day

• Balancing multiple critical requests from various stakeholders with outstanding precision

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s Degree 

• Prior experience in FX Options trading

• Prior experience working in the Financial Services industry

WHERE WILL YOU BE WORKING?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
