As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing Credit Financing Trader this is an exciting opportunity to have the opportunity to provide leverage to a well-established client franchise by lending cash or securities – either through a repurchase, securities lending, or margin lending agreement. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your credit evaluation, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization skills as you work with internal and external stakeholders including clients, brokers, and dealers.
Salary / Rate Minimum: $ 125,000.00
Salary / Rate Maximum: $ 160,000.00

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Managing market making for repo specials and managing day to day trading activity with shorts covering, short, dated client trades, specials market
Funding of client book and firm inventory, as well as sending axes/ commentary to sales/clients and initiating trades
Reviewing PnL report daily, and producing daily desk flash
Keeping track of client portfolio and giving market color, while marketing the product to potential clients as well
Obtaining feedback from Sales on each price quoted and working with the cash trading desk to be aware of markets, spread movements, liquidity on specific names
Analyzing trades on risk parameters, resource allocation, returns and supporting margin teams in relation to bond pricing (marks) when they lead to margin disputes
Maintaining active dialogues with colleagues in Risk to ensure correct haircuts are applied and with Legal to support negotiations and risk management
Providing operations/trade support including trade booking and working with settlements and TCU to minimize fails
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree with one to six years of related work experience
Basic familiarity with regulation and how it impacts the repo and security lending market, including Basel III, FSB work streams on Shadow Banking, FTT, CSDR, etc.
Exposure to derivative markets and proficiency with Excel
Knowledge in Emerging Markets and risk involved in various underlying bonds, cross currency basis, and cash and cds market
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Working knowledge of Bloomberg, VBA or other coding experience
Ability to perform under pressure and to maintain and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously
Analytical and organisational skills
Solid interactive skills as you work with colleagues globally
