As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing RTB, you will have the chance to ensure the continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems, in assistance of the business, and be a point of contact for the business for the escalation of issues impacting the operations of the bank during APAC and EU morning hours. You will also be providing assistance, primarily of all Fixed Income Financing Applications within existing Post Trade Services RTB team including new applications being built in this group will be part of your role.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $90,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $121,000

What will you be doing?

• Supporting Level 2 applications of Prime Fixed Income Financing (including the applications which are not supported by TCS RTB) and will be performing co-ordination role with TCS RTB
• Working closely with Business, Development, Global Infrastructure and supporting Vendors to facilitate the successful delivery of Change to the Production environment
• Representing Technology in front of the business and taking ownership of issue escalations through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate
• You will need to thoroughly follow ITIL standards of Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management etc
• Working in various early /late AMER shift model as per business need in rotating shift with peers by coordinating with regional RTB teams
• Supporting of firm’s Front Office trading operation and demands close and frequent interaction with the APAC/EMEA Front Office, Middleware Operations teams
• You will be required to work with development teams, application management teams, infrastructure teams

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in Unix, Linux, Windows
• Experience in Database: SQL Server /Oracle
• Knowledge in Languages: Shell/Perl Scripting, SQL, PLSQL, Knowledge of Java and Middleware interfaces (MQ, Solace)
• Experience in Autosys, PGP Encryption/Decryption and automation Tools: ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics or similar

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Being able to read code and have previously worked on SQL /UNIX skill set, as many of the queries will be against database data
• Good analytical skills and experience in investigating business queries related to trading and settlement and good communication and soft skills
• Being able to articulate how to escalate issues to groups or teams in outside of their direct reporting structure /area of responsibility
• Ideally successful candidate will be ITIL certified and be able to demonstrate practical application of the ITIL principles into an Application Management function
