FLOW VOLATILITY QUANTITATIVE DEVELOPER

As a Barclays Flow Volatility Quantitative Developer, within the Derivatives trading team, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage software for analytics, management Information, and real time market visualizations. Your role will be central in risk trading with the potential to grow into a broader set of responsibilities in the team. You will be part of the continued growth of the Flow Volatility Business. As the business expands in size and product scope, you will need to consistently enrich our analytic tools.
Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Building analysis tools and reports
Utilizing your own ingenuity and creating tools to assess historical and real time market data
Ensuring that the Flow Volatility business has best in class portfolio analysis through your work with position traders, technology, and other quantitative developers
Employing a breadth of programming languages including Java, Python, KDB, and MySQL
Having ownership of data processes, code and the associated application management
Utilizing these tools to aid in the portfolio decision making process
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information services, engineering, or related field
Programming expertise in Java, Python, KDB or MySQL
Understanding and experience in GUI development
Software engineering background with understanding in maintaining distributed systems
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
Experience managing distributed data services
Understanding of the equity or volatility markets
Broad knowledge and understanding of statistics
