Job Description

Santander's Learning & Development organization is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. Our Intern program provides you with an opportunity to be exposed to many business lines within Santander as well as critical aspects of Learning & Development, including relationship management, project management, design, and facilitation. You will be part of a team that partners closely with customer facing business lines to analyze and understand their key business priorities, recommending training solutions to support those goals. A key focus of your role will be supporting the execution of key learning programs and initiatives.

You will work in a fast paced environment that will require excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills. This role is ideal for a candidate who is interested in exposure to many areas within the financial services industry while developing an understanding of how Learning & Development collaborates with those business lines to deliver on their strategic goals.

Duties:

• Support the deployment, delivery, and execution of individual learning courses as well as major learning programs.
• Assist in the project management of initiatives from intake through deployment.
• Assist in the analysis of business needs and understand of strategic goals, translating them into objectives for learning initiatives and programs.
• Collaborate with design and facilitation teams to ensure learning needs and objectives are clearly understood and delivered upon.
• Work independently on projects and tasks.
• Create and deliver presentations to colleagues across multiple businesses.
• Assist with analytics on learning programs.

Applicant Requirements

• Must have an expected graduation date between December 2018 – June 2019.
• Must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above.
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program.
• Note: U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within teams.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships across all levels of a large organization, including Senior Leadership.
